According to Marion’s Jameson Looper, one of the best attributes of Warriors possess is how the care for each other.

That is just one reason why they have had such a successful season.

“I am pleased with how we come together as a team and pick each other up when we make mistakes,” Looper said.

As of press time, Marion was 5-2 and in a good spot heading into the postseason, which is what Looper is focused on.

“I feel good about the team and think we can make a really good run in the playoffs if we take it one week at a time we definitely have a good shot,” Looper said. “Something that is going really well is our offense and the way we can move the ball up and down the field.”

Looper is one of the top running backs in Class 1A and he had several goals he wanted to achieve in his senior season.

“Before the season started I had my eyes on a goal and that was to of course win but also break our schools rushing record in a single season, and I’m not too far off so that’s pretty exciting,” Looper said. “I think one thing me and the guys this season wanted to accomplish was being a key competitor in not only in our district but also in 1A.”
