2022 Kansas Shrine Bowl ends in tie

By Joanna Chadwick

While Sedgwick’s Lance Hoffsommer scored the game’s first points on a 10-yard run for the West squad, the 2022 Kansas Shrine Bowl ended in a 10-10 tie on Dodge City’s Emanuel Aguilar’s 29-yard field goal with 23 seconds to go.

The Shrine Bowl, which doesn’t have overtimes, ended in a tie in 2001, as well.

The game features some of the top graduated senior football players from across the state.

Maize South’s Evan Cantu had 55 rushing yards.
