Eisenhower Soccer’s Bachman sisters – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Steamatic

Eisenhower soccer is in the Bachman blood.

Last season, Abby Bachman was a first-team all-state midfielder for the Tigers, which took third in the Class 5A Tournament.

Abby has moved on to Emporia State, but now her little sister, Emma, is playing for Eisenhower and is an impact player for the Tigers as a freshman.

“My sister is definitely a tough act to follow,” Emma said. “I have worked hard to separate myself from her legacy but I know that many people still expect great things from Abby’s little sister. That being said it’s important to me that I focus on playing my game and what highlights me as an individual player and what the needs are from my team.”

Abby has no doubts as to the kind of player Emma is. “My sister is a great soccer player,” Abby said. She is very methodical and knows the game well.

She is very calm on the ball. I’m excited to see where her career takes her.”
Even though she has three years of high school ball left, Emma already has desires to play college soccer.

“My sister has found a great home and family at Emporia State and I hope to find that as well wherever I end up,” Emma said.

Emporia State has proven to be a perfect home for Abby.

“My first year of college ball has been great,” Abby said. “I love Emporia State. My teammates are all amazing and great role models.”
