CLASS 6A GIRLS

Blue Valley 33, Topeka 32 — Blue Valley’s Jadyn Wooten scored on a layup at the buzzer to give the Tigers the win. Wooten finished with a game-high 14 points and Sophie Deveney had 12, hitting three three-pointers, along with 10 rebounds. Topeka’s DayShauna Wiley had 12 rebounds, while teammate Talayah Thomas made three threes and had 12 points.

Derby 41, SM West 17 — Derby struggled offensively in the first half, shooting 5 of 19 from the field (26.3%) and led 13-8 over SM West. But the Panthers controlled the second half, outscoring SM West 28-9. Addy Brown scored a game-high 14 points and had 10 rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Jada Hopson added seven rebounds. SM West was led by S’mya Nichols, who battled foul trouble in the second half.

Olathe North 54, BV North 51 — Sania Copeland scored 15 points and had five steals, four assists in Olathe North’s win. Teammate Yiibari Nwidadah had 10 rebounds and Ashlyn Alloway hit 6 of 10 free throws and had 11 points. Saniya Simmons had seven steals. BV North’s Jaliya Davis had 25 points and 10 rebounds, hitting 10 of 15 shots. She also had five blocks and four steals. Aubrey Shaw scored 10 points and had five assists, three blocks.

Washburn Rural 66, Dodge City 43 — Washburn Rural’s Zoe Canfield hit 6 of 7 from three-point range for a game-high 23 points — Rural was 8 of 11 from three. Brooklyn DeLeye had 11 points and seven rebounds for Washburn Rural. Dodge City’s Camree Johnson scored 21 points, hitting 8 of 13 shots. Mataya Clark had six rebounds.

CLASS 5A BOYS

DeSoto 50, BV Southwest 45

Maize 53, Highland Park 47 — Jaden Gustafson had 15 points, Sam Schmidt 12 and Kyle Grill 12 in Maize’s win, which was coach Chris Grill’s 300th career victory. Roberts scored 17 to lead Highland Park.

St. James Academy 59, Topeka West 51 — Sam Somerhalder had 16 points and Brian Hawthorne 15 in the win for St. James. Garrett Lynch added 11 rebounds and Hawthorne had seven assists. Topeka West was led by Zander Putthoff’s 17 points, and Elijah Brooks had 13 points, Sincere Austin 10.

Topeka Seaman 54, Kapaun 43 — Henry Thengvall led Kapaun with 19 points and nine rebounds as Kapaun shot 14 of 50 from the field. Will Anciaux added six rebounds and three steals. Ty Henry led Seaman with 21 points.

CLASS 4A GIRLS

Eudora 40, Clay Center 46 OT — Eudora’s Harper Schreiner scored 19 of 22 points in the second half and overtime. She also had 10 steals and six rebounds. Clay Center led by 19 points with 1:08 to go in the third.

Miege 74, Andale 35

Wamego 36, Labette County 34 — Rylie Meinhardt made two free throws with seven seconds to go for the win.

Wellington 33, McPherson 29 — Wellington’s Valerie Norwood got a steal and was fouled with 4.7 seconds to go. She hit two free throws to seal the win. Airalyn Frame had hit two free throws to put Wellington up 31-29. Norwood scored 14 points and had seven rebounds, while Ali Zeka had 11 points. Lauren Labertew scored 11 for McPherson.

CLASS 3A BOYS

Hesston 46, Hugoton 34 — Hesston’s Jake Proctor scored 13 points and Cason Richardson had 12 in the win. Hugoton’s Carson Bennett scored 18 and Ryle Riddlesperger had 13.

Royal Valley 60, Girard 56 — Swede Wahwassuck scored 29 points to lead Royal Valley, hitting 14 of 15 free throws. Brahm Born scored 22 points for Girard.

SE-Saline 62, Osage City 53 — Ely Sawyers scored 22 points in SE-Saline’s win. Luke Gebhardt added 13 and Nkri Morrical-Palmer 12. Osage City’s Landon Boss had 19 points.

CLASS 2A GIRLS

Berean Academy 46, Valley Heights 43 — Lillie Veery scored 13 to lead Berean Academy.

Garden Plain 39, Pittsburg Colgan 26 — Garden Plain held Colgan to nine second-half points.Sydney Puetz and Brooke Hammond each had 11 points and six rebounds, while Hammond and Naomi Dooley each had four steals. Colgan’s Lilly Brown scored 16 points and had nine rebounds.

Smith Center 44, Jackson Heights 37

Sterling 73, Mission Valley 49 — Sterling’s Kali Briar scored 28 points, hitting 6 of 8 three-pointers in the win. Bennie Horsch had 14 points, Makenna Linden 11 and Sadie Beagley 11.

CLASS 1A-I BOYS

Macksville 45, Osborne 41 — Rogelio Ibarra scored 13 and Ryan Kuckelman had 10 points and 10 rebounds in Macksville’s win. Grady Wolters scored 14 points and Doak Guttery 10 for Osborne.

Olpe 51, Troy 21 — Olpe’s Derek Hoelting had 18 points and 12 rebounds, hitting 7 of 9 shots from the field, including 2 of 2 from three.

Solomon 45, Norwich 43 — Dylan Hynes had 10 rebounds and 10 points for Solomon. Norwich was led by Jace Gosch’s 16 points and 10 rebounds. Dax Rosenhagen added 10 points.

South Gray 64, Ness City 51

CLASS 1A-II BOYS

Bucklin 67, Caldwell 45

Greeley County 63, Pawnee Heights 34 — Jaxson Brandl had 24 points, 10 rebounds and five steals for Greeley County.

Hanover 84, Central Plains 43 — Hanover’s Keagan Dimler scored 27 points,hitting 9 of 21 threes, and Joshua Zarybnicky had 24 points, hitting 10 of 14 from the field, 3 of 3 from three. Braelan Stallbaumer added 10 rebounds. Peyton Ryan scored 23 points to lead Central Plains, hitting 7 of 13 threes.

Northern Valley 63, Waverly 57 OT –– Northern Valley scored the overtime’s final six points.
