Saturday’s high school basketball scores, stats and recaps (Jan. 20)

Boys

Andover 60, Wichita South 48 — Quenci Bradford hit four threes and had 19 points, and Josh Kim scored 16 as Andover won the Salina tourney. Jon. Howard had 22 points for South.

Bishop Carroll 61, St. James 51 — John Hauserman scored a game-high 23 points and had four steals in the Carroll win. Landon Steven scored 13 , hitting 3 of 5 from three, and had four steals, Braxton Martin had six steals, six rebounds.

Campus 81, Eisenhower 55 — Andrell Burton scored 37 points on 15-of-20 shooting from the field — 5 of 6 from three — to go over 1,000 career points. He also had 11 rebounds, four assists and five steals. Landon Brown had 14 points, hitting four threes and had five assists. Eisenhower’s Pierce Blue had 13 points, Derek Morgan 11 and Larsen Schneider 10. Blue also had seven rebounds.

Chaparral 68, Belle Plaine 39

Circle 68, Mulvane 52 — Circle won the Chaparral tourney.

Clay Center 66, Remington 45

Clearwater 65, Reno County 54

Derby 63, Blue Valley 46 — Mason Anderson hit 3 of 5 threes, 7 of 9 from the field, for 18 points in Derby’s win. Kaden Franklin had 10 points, nine rebounds.

Ell-Saline 62, Moundridge 57 — Kreighton Kanitz scored 27 and Henry Hecox 14 for Moundridge in the championship game.

Great Bend 58, Abilene 52

Halstead 62, Winfield 58

Holcomb 42, Hesston 38 — Holcomb wins the Hillsboro tourney.

Kapaun 71, Goddard 52 — Corbin Johnson had 24 points, Teagan Charles 17 in Kapaun’s win at the Bluestem Classic. Will Thengvall had 12, Blaise Dalian 10. Goddard’s Jake Jasnoski scored 18 points and Logan Davis 10.

Maize 45, Wichita East 44 — Jalen Batiste led Maize with 10 points, and Alec Grill had eight rebounds, four assists. Manuel Martinez had 20 points to lead East, Ismael Berry had 11. Martinez also had six rebounds.

Maize South 55, BV West 43 — Maize South won the Valley Center tourney.

McPherson 78, Hutchinson 42 — McPherson’s Gabe Pyle scored 27, hitting 12 of 17 shots, including 3 of 5 from three, in the championship win. Owen Pyle scored 14 and was 4 of 6 from three, Kyden Thompson had 12 and Corey Muehler 10. Thompson also had six assists, Gabe Pyle had six rebounds and Muehler five assists. Hutchinson’s Julian Smith had 13 points, nine rebounds, Terrell King 12 points.

Olathe North 67, Beloit 49

Rose Hill 49, Garden Plain 46

Salina Central 44, Liberal 40 — Kaden Snyder scored 17 for Salina Central in the win.

Salina South 62, Buhler 52

SM South 68, Andover Central 47 — Andover Central’s Jayden Brown scored 15 points and Andrew DeGarmo had 10.

Trinity Academy 74, El Dorado 45 — Harvey Zimmerman scored 24 points, Kolton Shaffer 12 and Alessandro Rodriguez 11 for Trinity in the win. Logan Garner scored 25 to lead El Dorado.

Washburn Rural 59, Wichita West 44

Wellington 63, Conway Springs 59

Wichita Collegiate 53, Arkansas City 52 — Sebastian Hines-Turner scored 13 to lead Collegiate. Kamari Jennings had 11 points for Ark City.

Wichita Heights 65, Manhattan 44 — Chase Robinson made 9 of 13 shots and finished with 18 points as Heights won the Dodge City tourney title. Teammate Jalihn Timmons scored 13, Amalachi Wilkins had 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists. And TJ Williams had eight rebounds and nine assists.

Wichita Northwest 64, Highland Park 61 — Eli Benning hit the game-winning shot as Northwest won the Topeka tourney. Benning scored a game-high 29 points and Jerome Henderson scored 13.

Girls

Andover 55, Great Bend 37 — Aliyah Green scored 18 as Andover wins the Salina tourney.

Buhler 34, Salina Central 23

Hillsboro 45, Hesston 30 — Zaylee Werth scored 15 to lead Hillsboro to its tourney championship.

Holcomb 58, Clay Center 46

Junction City 26, Abilene 25

Liberal 54, Salina South 50

Moundridge 74, Goessel 55 — Cammi Unruh scored 35 and had six rebounds, five assists and five steals for Moundridge. Addy Patrick had 23 points.

Smoky Valley 46, SE-Saline 32 — Smoky Valley’s Adrian Hazelwood scored a game-high 23 points to win the Sterling tourney. Abba Pearson led SE-Saline with 11 points.

Wellington 53, Beloit 37 — Lyndi Barton scored 14 and Val Norwood and Britt Zeka each scored 16 as Wellington wins the Colby tourney.
