The Mulvane girls soccer team advanced further this season than they ever have by taking second in Class 4-1A at Stryker Field in Wichita.

The Wildcats defeated Louisburg 2-1 in the semifinals, scoring both goals in the second half, but fell to Bishop Miege in the finals 4-0.

Mulvane finished the season with a record of 16-5.

McPherson, who lost to Miege in the semifinals, rallied to defeat Louisburg 2-1 in the third place game. The Bullpups finished with a record of 15-5-1.

5A

Bishop Carroll took third at the 5A Tournament in Spring Hill. The Eagles defeated Maize South 4-0 in the third place game. The Mavericks lost to Blue Valley Southwest in the semifinals.

Carroll lost to Aquinas 3-2 in the semifinals after the Saints scored the go-ahead goal with 19 seconds remaining in the game.

The Eagles finished with a record of 17-4.
