Boys

Abilene 65, Salina South 47

Andover 69, Salina Central 53 — Andover’s Blake Rucker had a game-high 19 points, Josh Kim 18 and Quinci Bradford 16. Rucker hit three three-pointers and Kim four. Salina Central’s Thomas McClendon scored 16, Dez Gibson 14 and Kamryn Jones 10.

Cheney 67, Garden Plain 42

Clay Center 70, Hillsboro 43

Derby 74, Lawrence Free State 45 — Derby’s Dallas Metzger hit a three midway through the first quarter to take the lead it wouldn’t lose as it went on a 13-0 run. Kaden Franklin scored 10 of his 12 points and had 10 of his 13 rebounds in the first half. He also had five blocks. Mason Anderson scored 14, hitting 6 of 7 from the field, Dallas Metzger had 11 and Jack Ulwelling was 2 of 2 from three for 10 points. Free State’s Wesley Edison scored 13 and Hueston Saunders had nine rebounds.

Emporia 43, Wichita Collegiate 39 — Sebastian Hines-Turner led Collegiate with 10 points.

Goddard 70, Trinity Academy 52 — Jake Jasnoski and Nick Rogers each scored 21 for Goddard, and Logan Davis had 16. Harvey Zimmerman led Trinity with 17 points.

Great Bend 74, Buhler 33

Inman 38, Hutchinson Central Christian 24

Haven 52, Rose Hill 23 — Haven held Rose Hill to six second-half points in the win.

Hutchinson 45, St. James 34 — St. James outscored Hutchinson 16-8 in the final period, but it didn’t matter as Hutch had held St. James to eight first-half points in the McPherson tournament. The Salthawks were led by Julian Smith’s 14 points and Terrell King’s 10 points, eight rebounds and three steals.

Kansas City Piper 78, Andover Central 54 — Jace Adler led Andover Central with 18 points.

Kapaun 81, El Dorado 34 — Kapaun’s top scorers were Rocco Keller (13), Will Thengvall (12), Corbin Johnson (12), Teagan Charles (10), Blaise Dalian (10) and Owen Herlocker (10). El Dorado was led by Logan Garner’s 15 points.

Maize 44, Dodge City 36 — Charles Sharp led Maize with 18 points in Maize’s win., hitting 8 of 9 from the field, including 2 of 3 from three. Alec Grill had five assists and five steals, and Jalen Batiste had five assists.

Manhattan CHIEF 55, Arkansas City 42

Marion 55, Douglass 22

McPherson 72, Bishop Carroll 59 — McPherson took a 17-3 lead in the game’s first 6:19, but Carroll answered with a 17-2 run to take the 20-19 lead midway through the second period as Braxton Martin hit two threes and John Hauserman scored seven unanswered. McPherson responded with an 11-4 run as Gabe Pyle scored five. With a five-point halftime lead, McPherson outscored Carroll 23-11 in the third. Pyle hit 5 of 7 threes and finished with 23 points, five rebounds and five steals. Corey Muehler had 15 points, hitting 4 of 5 threes, and six rebounds, and Owen Pyle had 14 points. Martin led Carroll with 20 points and nine rebounds, Hauserman with 14 points, three steals, Landon Steven 13 points, four assists and Reese Peterson seven assists.

Moundridge 73, Solomon 33 — Kreighton Kanitz scored 33, all in the third quarter, for Moundridge as 10 Wildcats scored in the win.

Mulvane 66, Clearwater 46

Scott City 65, Kingman 47

Wichita East 59, Campus 58 — East’s Manuel Martinez hit four threes and had a team-high 22 points, and Jamari Berry hit 6 of 9 from three and had 13 points, six rebounds, five assists in the Dodge City tournament. Ashton White had four assists. Campus’ Andrell Burrton scored 24 and had eight rebounds, three assists, and Kaason Thomas scored 18 points with four assists.

Wichita Heights 67, Eisenhower 37 — Height’s TJ Williams hit 9 of 11 from the field for a game-high 22 points with five assists and five rebounds at the Dodge City tourney. Chase Robinson had 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists and Jalihn Timmons scored 13, Amalachi Wilkins had six rebounds. Chase George scored a team-high 13 for Eisenhower and Larsen Schneider 12.

Wichita Northwest 60, Topeka 34 — Jayce Glasper led Northwest with 16 points, including eight in the first period, and Eli Benning had 11 points.

Wichita South 62, Liberal 39

Circle 47, Rose Hill 16 — Kya Thornton scored 14 points to lead Circle.

SE-Saline 58, Lyons 27 — Lexi Jacobson scored a game-high 13 points and Suttyn Douglas had 10 in the win for SE-Saline. Ten players scored for SE-Saline and 23 points came from the non-starters.

Wellington 59, Olathe East 34 — Wellington opened the Colby tournament with a 25-point win. Val Norwood led Wellington with 15 points, Lyndi Barton had 12, and Britt Zeka hit three threes for 11 points at the Colby tournament.
