BV North 58, Derby 55 — Derby trailed Bv North 41-13 with 5:26 to go in the third quarter when the Panthers picked up their defense and started hitting shots to go on a 30-3 run over a period of seven minutes. Kaeson Fisher-Brown hit a three with 1:10 remaining for  Derby’s first lead at 53-52. He scored 23 of his game-high 27 points in the second half, hitting 6 of 6 from three-point range in that span. BV North hit 4 of 4 free throws in the final 9.9 seconds to hang onto the end.

Girls

Derby 54, BV North 40 — It was a 6-all score after the first quarter, but Derby outscored BV North 22-5 in the second period, as Naomi White scored 12 of her game-high 23 points in the quarter. Addy Brown added 12 points for Derby. A. Shaw scored 15 points for BV North and M. Crossland had 13.
