Class 6A

Blue Valley 42, Olathe North 21

Gardner-Edgerton 28, BV Northwest 6

Derby 23, Manhattan 21 — Derby ends a three-game losing streak to defending Class 6A champion Manhattan, taking the 23-21 lead at Manhattan with 37 seconds to go on a 26-yard field goal by Grady Jesseph. Derby quarterback Braxton Clark was 17-of-25 passing for 288 yards and Colton Ruedy had five catches for 108 yards.

The Panthers, who had lost to Manhattan in the season opener the past two years and in the 2022 6A semifinals, will play at Washburn Rural on Nov. 17. Derby has won 10 straight.

Washburn Rural 35, Wichita East 14 — The game was tied at 14-all at the half. East ends its season at 8-3.

Class 5A

BV Southwest 38, Shawnee Heights 10

Eisenhower 35, Maize 14 — After Maize scored the game’s first 14 points, Eisenhower scored two touchdowns over a four-minute period in the second quarter to tie it. The Tigers added three more unanswered touchdowns in the second half. Eisenhower (10-1) will play Kapaun in the semifinals on Nov. 17.

Kapaun 57, Maize South 47 — Maize South took its first lead at 47-43 on Rapp’s two-yard run with nine minutes to go. But three minutes later, Omari Elias scored to give Kapaun the lead again. Elias scored another touchdown with 2:09 remaining. Kapaun is 10-1, while Maize South ends its season at 8-3.

Mill Valley 72, Topeka Seaman 42

Class 4A

Andover Central 28, McPherson 21 — Andover Central quarterback Jace Jefferson threw for three touchdowns in the win over McPherson. Adler had two touchdowns and an interception with 52 seconds remaining. Andover Central is on a five-game winning streak and is 8-3.

Class 3A

Andale 50, Collegiate 25 — Andale had a 22-0 lead in the first quarter and led 30-13 at the half. Andale also beat Collegiate 28-7 in Week 6 and is 10-1, while Collegiate is 8-2. Gage Prosser had three touchdowns for Andale, including runs of 58, 5 and 53 yards. Sam Harp added a 36-yard scoring run, and Cooper Marx scored on runs of 44 and 24 yards. Prosser finished with 226 rushing yards

The Indians will play Cheney in the Class 3A semifinals. Cheney beat Andale 36-30 in overtime, ending Andale’s nation-leading 57-game winning streak.

Cheney 23, Clay Center 21 — After Clay Center went ahead 21-20 with 25 seconds to go, Grady Kuehn’s 32-yard field goal as time expires gives Cheney the win. Cheney (11-0) had taken a 20-7 lead early in the fourth quarter.

Hoisington 49, SE-Saline 42 — Hoisington improves to 11-0 and will play Norton in the semifinals.

Conway Springs 28, Marion 20 — Conway Springs, which opened the season at 0-2, will play Medicine Lodge in the semifinals. Conway (9-2) beat Medicine Lodge 40-34 in Week 4.
