Tonight’s high school football scores, recaps (Sept. 29)

Derby won its fourth straight game, beating Campus 48-0. Easton Splane completed 6 of 6 passes for 191 passing yards, including a 73-yard touchdown pass to sophomore Rowan Foster, who finished with 116 receiving yards. Splane also threw touchdowns to Da’Saahn Brame and Daylen Bledsoe. The junior started against Campus after senior quarterback Braxton Clark suffered a lacerated kidney against Hutchinson on Sept. 22. Clark is assumed to be able to return by the playoffs.

Andale (5–0) beat Nickerson 85-7, scoring 51 points in the first quarter as seven players scored touchdowns in the period. Owen Eck had a rushing touchdown, two receiving TDs from Sam Harp and returned two interceptions for scores on 20 and 27 yards. Andale held Nickerson to negative-40 rushing yards.

Eisenhower improved to 5-0 with a 34-0 win over Andover for the season’s first shutout. Eisenhower gave up 28 points to Salina Central in Week 2 but has given up 27 points in its four other games.

Collegiate beat Chapman 41-6 to remain unbeaten at 5-0.

Cheney is 5-0 after a 46-0 win over Smoky Valley for the Cardinals’ third straight shutout.

Goddard beat Andover Central 35-21 for the Lions’ third straight win and a 4-1 record. Andover Central has lost two straight.

Kapaun is 4-1 after beating Wichita Southeast 70-12, hitting 70 points for the second game this season.

McPherson edged Winfield 17-14, with Hoover hitting a 38-yard field goal with 33 seconds to go. Owen Fetsch threw for 143 yards for McPherson and Hoover had 112 receiving yards on six receptions. McPherson is 3-2.

Salina Central improved to 4-1 with a 34-31 win over Valley Center.

Maize South has won two straight and is 4-1 with a 47-0 victory over Maize at Riverfront Stadium in Wichita.

Wichita Heights is 4-1 after a 32-0 win over Wichita South. Heights’ lone loss is to Wichita Northwest in Week 2.

Wichita Northwest is 4-1 after a 70-7 win over host Topeka.

Wichita East improved to 3-2 with a 52-0 win over Wichita West.

Hoisington is 5-0 following a 27-19 victory over Pratt.

Hutchinson bounces back with a 57-14 win over Salina South.
