Boys

Derby 68, Valley Center 67 — Derby handed Valley Center its first loss, as Jack Ulwelling hit the three-pointer to put the Panthers up 66-65 with 20 seconds to go. With eight seconds remaining, Jaxson Malvo dunked for the 68-65 lead. Ulwelling had 11 of his 16 points in the first quarter as he hit four three-pointers, and Avant Riley had four threes for 12 points, hitting two in the final period. Cale Clingan scored 10 points. Austin Saner scored 20 for Valley Center, and Colby Newton had 13.

Maize 60, Eisenhower 31 — Maize’s Brayden Myovela scored 15 and Alec Grill 10 in the win. Eisenhower’s Blue had 11 points.

Wichita Heights 59, Wichita West 27 — Heights was led by Jalihn Timmons’ 16 points, Amalachi Wilkins’ 14 and Chase Robinson’s 12. Robinson had 11 rebounds, three blocks and Wilkins seven rebounds, six blocks.

Wichita Northwest 45, Kapaun 41 — Kapaun held a 28-24 lead after three, but Northwest outscored the Crusaders 21-13 in the final period. Northwest’s DJ Brown and River Peters each scored 13 in the win. Rocco Keller led Kapaun with 19.

Girls

Arkansas City 41, Goddard 28

Bluestem 37, Douglass 26

Derby 67, Valley Center 36 — Macayla Askew scored 12 points as 11 players scored. Kelby Clingan hit three three-pointers for the Panthers. Anna Duncan led Valley Center with 12.

Kapaun 67, Wichita Northwest 15 — Zoey Buckner-Franklin scored 30 to lead Kapaun, and Phoebe Laufer had 10.
