Lansing High School senior Rylee Frederick enters her final basketball season with a mindset centered on positivity, growth, and team unity. As a dependable small forward, Frederick brings toughness to the court, defensive energy, and a calming presence that her teammates look to in big moments.

For Frederick, this year’s goals extend beyond the stat sheet. “My personal goal is to have a good attitude throughout the season no matter the outcome,” she said. Maintaining confidence and staying focused on the game are priorities she believes will elevate both her performance and her leadership. Her team shares a similar vision of working together and keeping positivity at the core of everything they do.

One matchup Frederick is especially excited for is Lansing’s rivalry game against Leavenworth, a contest known for its intensity and electric atmosphere. “The energy is always high, and the game is very competitive,” she said, precisely the kind of environment where her composure and effort shine.

Frederick prepared diligently over the summer, participating in summer weights and high-school basketball workouts to stay sharp. Her junior year showcased her impact beyond scoring, averaging 4 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 steal per game, proving her value as a physical, reliable presence.

Her talents extend well beyond basketball. Frederick is a four-year varsity soccer player, a volleyball manager, a Student Council PR Representative, and an active member of FCA and Pep Club.

After high school, she plans to play soccer at Neosho County Community College while majoring in athletic training, continuing her passion for sports and helping others.

With her work ethic, leadership, and unwavering positivity, Rylee Frederick is set to leave a meaningful legacy in her final season at Lansing.
