As Jalen Harper enters his senior year at Campus High School, the returning starting center is taking a team-first approach to the 2025 football season. Harper, a key anchor on the Colts’ offensive line, isn’t focused on personal accolades. The main goal for Harper is to help the team improve every week. “I want us to grow, get better week by week, build stronger chemistry, and become the best version of ourselves as a team,” Harper told Vype Magazine.

One game he’s especially looking forward to is the matchup against Salina South. “Last year’s game was a close one. This year, I want to help make sure the outcome is different,” he said.

Harper has been putting in the work during the offseason, training to refine both his run game and pass protection skills. Harper has also attended camps at Garden City Community College and Hutchinson Community College, gaining valuable experience and exposure from both of these Kansas colleges.

Last season, Harper started every game and even served as a captain at times. This was an honor that reflected his leadership and consistency on the field.

While his college plans are still undecided, Harper hopes to continue his football career at the next level. Off the field, he’s also a competitor in track and field, throwing shot put and discus for Campus High.

With experience, leadership, and a clear vision for team success, Jalen Harper is ready to help guide the Colts through a strong 2025 season, one snap at a time.
