Wichita North’s Lily Graham – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Advanced Physical Therapy

Lily Graham, a senior at Wichita North High School, is making the most of her final year on the softball field. Primarily playing first base, but also stepping in at third base and shortstop, Graham has been an integral part of her team’s success. This season, Graham’s main goal is simple but meaningful, she wants to have fun and enjoy her last year of high school softball. “I just want to make the most of my final season with my teammates,” she shared.

Graham’s team goal is focused on the competition against Heights, a rivalry that’s always been intense. She’s eager to see how the team, with a few new players, comes together to tackle the challenges ahead. “I think we have great potential to win some exciting games this season,” she told Vype Magazine.

Over the offseason, Graham kept herself in top shape by working out at the gym and practicing with her younger sister, who also plays softball. Their time together involved batting drills and other simple exercises to stay sharp.

Reflecting on her achievements from last year, Graham is especially proud of earning the Player of the Game award multiple times. “Not many players get that opportunity, so it meant a lot to me,” she said.

After graduation this spring, Graham plans to attend Emporia State University in the fall to pursue a degree in sports medicine. Outside of softball, Graham has been involved in photography, yearbook, and journalism at Wichita North for the past four years.
