Wichita West’s Treg Hardeman – Poll Winner – Presented by Advanced Physical Therapy

By Angela Brunk

Treg Hardeman, a junior point guard, is one of the standout players for the Wichita West High School basketball team. As he works through the current season, Hardeman has set several individual goals for himself. These goals include improving his free throw percentage to 90%, increasing his assists per game, and becoming a more vocal leader on the court. With these objectives in mind, Hardeman is focused on enhancing his overall game and pushing his team to greater heights.

One of the highlights Hardeman is looking forward to this season is a rivalry game, where the intense atmosphere is always electric. These games provide the perfect challenge to test his skills and help the team grow. Hardeman is also eager to face some of the top teams in the state, knowing that these matchups will force him and the team to elevate their performance.

To prepare for the season, Hardeman attended a high-intensity basketball camp in Texas, where he honed his ball-handling skills and improved his outside shot. Hardeman also worked with a personal trainer to increase his strength and agility, while dedicating time to improving his conditioning through regular workouts and drills.

One of the stats Hardeman is most proud of is averaging 5 rebounds per game, as it reflects his determination to get the ball back in his team’s hands.

Looking ahead, Hardeman hopes to play basketball at the collegiate level, ideally alongside his twin brother, Trez Hardeman. Academically, Hardeman is interested in pursuing a degree in sports management. Outside of basketball, he is a member of BrotherHood and will be found participating in track and field this spring. In his free time, Hardeman enjoys spending time with his twin brother and family.
