Olathe Northwest’s Kyra Clark enters the upcoming basketball season with versatility, experience, and a renewed drive to push both herself and her team to new heights. Known for her ability to play every position on the court, Clark gives the Ravens a rare level of flexibility, something she plans to use to her full advantage during her senior season.

Clark’s goals for the season are ambitious and team-centered. She is focused not only on her own development but also on helping Olathe Northwest reach the state tournament and compete for a title. Individually, she hopes her growth and consistency will earn her a spot on the Sunflower League All-Team, a recognition she has her eyes firmly set on.

This season’s schedule brings several matchups that Clark is eager for, especially against fellow Olathe schools like Olathe West and Olathe North. Having played AAU with several athletes from those programs, Clark loves the competitive energy and familiar faces on the court. She’s also looking forward to returning to the Newton tournament, a staple of her high school career.

During the offseason, Clark made a conscious effort to develop her scoring mindset. Instead of immediately looking to pass the ball, she worked on recognizing scoring opportunities and trusting her own abilities. That mentality shift, combined with past achievements, like shooting 74% from the free-throw line and earning Sunflower League Honorable Mention, positions her for a breakout season.

Currently uncommitted both athletically and academically, Clark, however, plans to pursue a degree in Marketing. Off the court, she stays involved through her school’s American Sign Language Club.

With her versatility, determination, and leadership, Kyra Clark is poised to be a major force for Olathe Northwest this season.
