Washington’s Jamari Williams – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Preferred Physical Therapy

Senior guard from KC Washington High School, Jamari Williams, enters his final high school season with a sharp focus and high expectations, both for himself and for his team. A dynamic point guard and combo guard, Williams has earned a reputation for his defensive intensity, efficient scoring, and ability to control the tempo of the game.

This year, he’s setting ambitious individual goals. He wants to earn First Team All-State recognition and compete for Player of the Year honors.

Williams spent the offseason honing key parts of his game, especially his jump shot and overall strength, two areas he believes will elevate him to the next level and will get him ready for competition against teams like St. Thomas Aquinas.

Even with tough competition, Williams posted impressive stats last season. He’s particularly proud of his defensive performance and the number of steals he had for the season. He is also proud of his field goal percentage. Both marks reflect smart play selection and strong finishing ability.

He hopes to build on that efficiency as a senior, and team goals matter just as much. Williams is determined to help lead his squad to the state tournament. “The main goal is to make it to state,” he said. “I’m really looking forward to this year.”

Beyond basketball, Williams is a multi-sport athlete, also suiting up for the football team this season. His versatility, work ethic, and leadership make him one of the school’s most impactful athletes, poised for a standout senior year on and off the court.
