Braxon Mangan – Greeley County

A Sharpshooter on the Rise

Greeley County’s young roster is anchored by the shot-making of junior guard Braxon Mangan. On a team without seniors, his scoring and poise help stabilize a group still defining roles.

Head coach Josh Gooch highlighted Mangan as a “very good shooter” and “smart player,” noting that he broke a school record last season by hitting nine three-pointers in a single game—and made all nine in a row. Over the full season, he averaged 15.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, spearheading a 10-win improvement from his freshman to sophomore year.

During his junior season (2025–2026), Braxon Mangan emerged as one of the most productive and efficient players on the floor, putting together an impressive stat line that showcased his all-around impact. He averaged 21.6 points per game, leading the offense with a consistent scoring presence, while also contributing 3 reboundsand4.6 assists per contest, highlighting his ability to create opportunities for both him and his teammates. Mangan was especially lethal from beyond the arc, shooting 47 percent from three-point range, forcing defenses to account for him at all times. His efficiency extended to the free-throw line as well, where he knocked down shots at an elite92.2 percent, making him a reliable option in late-game situations. Together, those numbers reflect a junior campaign defined by confidence, precision, and leadership.

As the juniors and underclassmen around him continue to grow, Mangan’s perimeter gravity and decision-making should remain critical to Greeley County’s ability to generate offense and chase another step forward in the win column.
