Brylee Minnick – Oberlin-Decatur

Versatility at Small Forward

Oberlin-Decatur’s offense leans heavily on the versatility of 5-foot-10 senior wing Brylee Minnick. She brings size to the perimeter as a small forward who can play like a guard or punish smaller defenders in the post.

Head coach Brandon Gehring described Minnick as “very versatile,” “long and athletic,” and noted that she “plays a guard position at 5-10 tall but can take someone down in the post when she has a size advantage. “Coming off a season where she averaged 16 points and 7 rebounds per game and earned second-team All-NKWL honors for the second straight year, Gehring expects her to be “one of the best players in our league” and “one of the top players in Northwest Kansas.”

On a small but quick team aiming to compete in league and at the state level, Minnick’s ability to score from multiple spots and defend across positions makes her the focal point of game plans on both ends.
