Udall’s Jenson Harness – Athlete Spotlight Presented By Advanced Physical Therapy

By Hayden Swope

Quarterback Jenson Harness returns for Udall this season, and is ready to lead the team with a new head coach supporting him. Harness is ready to show the new and improved team this year.

“I am most excited for our new coach Caleb Howell, and the commitment he has for improving the football program,” Harness said. “He has boosted summer weights’ attendance and made accountability a priority.”

Working with his coaches and teammates has been something Harness has been doing all offseason, as well as conditioning and training with other athletes from surrounding areas.

“I’ve been attending summer weights everyday, along with working on my speed, flexibility and paying more attention to my nutrition,” Harness said. “ In May I also attended the Top Prospect camp in Salina.”

With a strong team, new coach, and open mind, Harness and the Eagles are ready to start the season, with multiple goals and targets they are hoping to accomplish.

“One area I would like to improve on is my leadership skills,” Harness said. “I’ve tried to communicate more with my teammates and set a good example for the future of our program. One of the goals I have for the team is to be more competitive in our games.  We have had multiple down years in a row and any improvement would be a step in the right direction.”
