Andover 67, Salina Central 46 — Eli Shetlar scored 20 points and BJ Redic had 13 in the win for Andover. Dez Gibson scored 16 to lead Salina Central, and Kaden Snyder had 11.

Andover Central 63, Goddard 42 — Kobe Smith scored 21 and had six assists, three steals in Andover Central’s win, and Omar Alsmadi had 14. Jasnoski scored 12, Rogers 11 for Goddard.

Cheney 59, Conway Springs 39 — Cheney’s Voth scored a game-high 20 points in the win and C. Peintner had 12 as 10 Cardinals’ players scored. Conway’s Taylor Wykes scored 10.

Circle 72, Winfield 41

Derby 66, Hutchinson 52 — Derby hands Hutchinson its first loss of the season. To find the first sign of what kind of a night it would be, go back to the 6:42 mark of the first quarter when Cooper Chadwick hit a three. Derby went on to hit 3 of 4 in the period and was 9 of 12 through three quarters. Dallas Metzger hit 4 of 6 from three, including all three attempts in the third quarter. Jack Ulwelling was 2 of 3, Mason Anderson 1 of 2 and Kaeson Fisher-Brown 1-1 from three. Metzger finished with 16 points and Kaden Franklin led the way with 19 points and six rebounds as Derby fed him the ball in the first half, when he scored 15 of his points. Derby led 33-29 at the half and then went on an 18-4 run, hitting four three-pointers in that span, for the 51-33 lead.Hutchinson’s Nic Lange scored 14 points and had nine rebounds.

Goessel 62, Udall 49 — Noah Schrag scored 21 points, Joey Lapp 13 and CAleb Burkholder 10 for Goessel.

Hesston 74, Nickerson 11 — Kendal Brueggen scored 20 points to lead Hesston.

Hoisington 43, Hillsboro 42

Independent 68, Medicine Lodge 51 — Joseph Recalde Phillips scored 15 for Independent, Conar Harris 13. Medicine Lodge’s Keveon Ruiz scored a game-high 25 points.

Inman 37, Bennington 36 — Bennington’s Talan Pickering scored 11 points.

Kapaun 75, Wichita Northwest 54 — William Thengvall scored 15, Will Anciaux 14 and Brooks Powers 12 in Kapaun’s win. Northwest’s Tasean Williams scored 20 and Eli Benning had 10.

Kingman 56, Trinity Academy 54

Maize 56, Newton 43 — Brayden Myovela scored 16, Tay Williams 14 and Alan Hanna 11 in Maize’s win. Newton’s Camden Carr scored 19.

Macksville 69, Hodgeman County 48

Maize South 63, Campus 55 — Maize South trailed 36-25 at the half, and with just under seven minutes remaining, trailed 47-44. The Mavs outscored Campus 38-19 in the second half.

McPherson 57, Augusta 26 — McPherson’s Mason Miller scored 13 points and had seven rebounds, three blocks, Owen Pyle 12 points, Kreighton Kanitz 11 points, and Cory Muehler had 10 points, six assists, while Kyden Thompson had six rebounds, four assists. Augusta’s Kaden McDAniel scored 14 points, and Gavin Kiser had 13 points, five rebounds.

Pratt 67, Lyons 38 — Carson Hoeme scored 27 to lead Pratt.

Remington 48, West Elk 25 — West Elk’s Maddex Moreno scored 10.

Rose Hill 51, Clearwater 26 — Kellan Simoneau scored 14 of his game-high 18 points in the first half, and Jace Evans and Cooper Nace each had 10 in Rose Hill’s win.

Smoky Valley 66, Halstead 51 — Smoky Valley’s Ki. Blanchat hit five three-pointers and scored 20 points. Pihl had 14 points, Pickering 13 and K. Blanchat had 11 in the win. Halstead’s B. Creed hit three three-pointers and scored a game-high 22 points, and K. Corona had 16.

Stafford 50, Pretty Prairie 30

Valley Center 88, Salina South 76 — Valley Center trailed 45-34 midway through the third quarter.

Wellington 50, Collegiate 49 — Wellington’s Brody Weir hit the game-winning basket at Collegiate. Teammate Carter Burnett scored 16 of his team-high 20 points in the second half of the Crusaders’ win. Collegiate’s Jaden Parker scored a game-high 23 points, hitting 11 of 18 free throws, and Sebastian Hines-Turner had 12 points.

Wichita Heights 80, Wichita West 31 — Heights’ Chase Robinson scored a game-high 18 points, Marcus Zeigler 15, TJ Williams 12 and Amalachi Wilkins 10. Zeigler had four assists, four steals and four rebounds, Marcus Pierce seven rebounds. Gavyn Phillips scored 11 for West.

Girls

Andale 58, El Dorado 21 — McKenzie Fairchild scored 13 and Camryn Winter had 10 for Andale in the win.

Andover 48, Salina Central 42

Andover Central 39, Goddard 38 — Maddie Amekpofor and Hayden Snodgrass each scored 11 points, Haven Deckinger had 10 in Andover Central’s win.

Buhler 47, Mulvane 34

Chapman 45, Abilene 35

Cheney 68, Conway Springs 18 — Leah Durr scored 19 points and Campbell Hague 17 in Cheney’s win.

Circle 46, Winfield 42 — Emma Johnson scored 11 and Katie Coble had 10 in Circle’s win. Curtis led Winfield with 17 points, hitting four three-pointers, and Maree had 11 points.

Clearwater 55, Rose Hill 22 — Elizabeth Tjaden scored 18 points to lead Clearwater. Carli Carlson had seven assists and scored 17 points to put her over 1,000 career points.

Derby 35, Hutchinson 16 — Hutchinson slowed the game down for three quarters, focusing on possessions that were usually between a minute to two minutes long. Derby led 12-10 midway through the third quarter when it went on a 13-0 run to end the period, sparked by their defense that forced eight turnovers in the period. Jaden Wilson had six steals for Derby, two blocks and six rebounds, 10 points. Addy Brown had 13 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks, Destiny Smith 10 points, three steals. Madison Smith had two blocks. Grace Posch had 12 points for Hutchinson, Aliyah Green five rebounds.

Eisenhower 38, Arkansas City 32

Garden Plain 45, Belle Plaine 13 — Sydney Puetz scored 11 points and had four steals in the win for Garden Plain. Molly Zoglman had five rebounds, five steals, and Madelyn Rolfs had five rebounds. Belle Plaine’s Zimmerman had seven rebounds, Lawless six and Lujan five.

Halstead 53, Smoky Valley 33 — Halstead was led by Dominique Schutte’s 15 points, L. Wilson’s 12 and Dalaina Schutte’s 10. Smoky Valley’s Blanchat had 10.

Haven 54, Larned 25 — Sienna DeFrain scored 15 and Avery Brawner had 14 points, nine rebounds in Haven’s win. Sadie Estill had five assists, six steals and BrieAnn Brawner four assists.

Hillsboro 45, Hoisington 32

Kapaun 47, Northwest 42 — Lizzie Romer scored all 24 of her points in the final three periods for Kapaun. Kamyra Barber scored 15 for Northwest.

Maize South 54, Campus 18 — Ava Howie had 12 rebounds for Maize South.

McPherson 58, Augusta 28 — McPherson’s Jordan Sears scored 26 points, hitting three three-pointers, along with six rebounds, six steals, three assists. Karter Alvord had 13 points, five steals, Chloe Clevenger six assists, five steals. Augusta’s Emily Wells had six rebounds, Emily Breudege five rebounds and three steals.

Newton 27, Maize 26 — Newton’s Olivia Antonowich hit a three-pointer with 3.6 seconds to go in the Railers’ win.
